Excited to use the reading journal to track my books. Little smaller than I expected but also didn’t look to see about measurements. The mint green doesn’t do justice in the picture but it’s so nice. Definitely recommend!

I bought these to put together a fun little gift for my book club members. I bought in black, green and pink and loved all of the pretty colors. There is so much room in the inside and easy to write a lot of things. Super great for the price. Super sturdy, thick pages and the perfect size to fit in a purse.

Completing journal entries right when I finish helps me reflect on the books and remember them. This format is quick and simple. I can put as much or as little as I like.

My 12 year old granddaughter requested this to get more organized

I ordered six of these to add to the book club themed gift bags that I put together for my group. Everyone loved them! Such a great way to keep track of all the book we’ve read, and there’s room to write summaries of each book as well. Highly recommend!

There are so many resources available for book readers. When I was a kid there was only CliffsNotes and the book – maybe an audio cassette. Now there’s SparkNotes, blinkest, audible, kindle, nook, physical books, the list goes on.I have the Key-Lime green cover version (which helps it stand out from my other journals). Its cover is a semi-soft plastic that’s firm enough to give some support. There are 52 entries for you to fill out. Each entry has two sections to enter the book’s metadata and your rating. After this there are 5 prompts and a whole page for Thoughts/Notes. The prompts are shown in the product’s photos.I think this is rather ambitious – the journal is clearly made for those who love to read books and want to keep a record of them to reference later. The 52 entries implies a book a week.I like that you can check “Book”, “Ebook” or “Audio” to indicate how you experienced the book. What piqued my interest was the open grid-like dots for the notes page. This unique feature allows me to draw diagrams (mind-maps) without the distractions that lines impose.

Item shipped quickly. The reading journal is really cool. It is set up so you can Review the book along with a section for additional notes and quotes. It also has a page you can list your favorite books and a graphic where you can do that as well. A fun way of keeping track of your reading.

At first, I wasn’t sure about this journal- because it is a little bit smaller than others that I have had (in the last few months, three) and it has a thin plastic cover with rings. And though the review asks you to provide them with a lot of information (as they ask five different things and normally reading journals ask a little less)- as long as I wrote small, I could fit a lot of answers in.There was also a second page for notes that I could use, if I needed (but haven’t had to yet, inscribing reviews here). Plus, it pushes the reader and scribe to pick out the most important information- something that I need to work on (as I usually write too much and have a problem picking out what is the most important from what I write). On the opening page of the journal, there is a page that I thought was displaying a whole bunch of empty book spines, calling to be filled in. So, I began to write the authors of the books that I was including inside the journal. The next page starts the first review which has one page that asks for specific information and the next page, a place to write thoughts and notes. The entire journal continues in this manner, until the last page where you have a page to list books. Please look at the photos that I took of the journal- a blank review page and then you can see some of what I have written in the last two weeks of the four books that I have read. Of course, there are a few more since then, but I didn’t want to give too much of what I wrote inside the journal (as those are always my private space). I have also included an empty review so that you can see everything as it would be seen when another person writes in it. But you can see the comprehensive page of information they ask for about the book and then, the five specific questions they ask the reader to answer (on the first page).I thought these specific five questions were very helpful in then using the information I wrote in the journal to go and write reviews for others to read (online and in a print column that I have written for two years). As I read my book, at different times, I was able to answer some of the questions and others, I would go back and answer later- when finished with the book. If there are any questions about this journal, please feel free to reach out to me and ask.Thank you!

This journal is a great travel size with room to make your notes. The wire binding allows it to lay flay for writing. It is a great journal for beginners who are just getting into logging their books or maybe for that book club friend if you wanted to give it as a gift. I just started with a book club in Jan and I am excited about using this journal to keep track of the books we read each month.
