Artwork Guidelines
Proper file preparation is the foundation of a flawless print job. To achieve the best results for your custom notebooks, please follow these guidelines:
Software & Resolution: We recommend using professional software like Adobe InDesign or Illustrator. Ensure all images are set to at least 300 DPI to guarantee crisp print quality.
Color Mode & Fonts: Always design in CMYK mode for accurate color reproduction (not RGB). Please convert all fonts to outlines (or curves) to prevent any font compatibility issues during production.
Bleed & Trim: Include a bleed area (usually 3mm or 0.125″) around your design. This ensures your background extends beyond the trim edge, preventing unwanted white borders.
Safe Zones: Be mindful of the Safe Margin. Keep critical text and logos away from the trim line and the binding edge—especially for Wire-O and Spiral binding—to avoid them being punched or cut off.
